How to connect my iPhone 6 to my Bose Sound Dock will be a popular question come late September. We are all certainly anxiously awaiting all the new fancy features, but the bottom line, (pun intended) is that the iPhone 6 will have the lightening connector and not the original Apple 30-pin connector. This means that the iPhone 6 will not fit on all your original iPhone accessories. Not to worry, the CoolStream Bluetooth Receiver and the CoolStream Duo are here to help.
Powered with the magic of Bluetooth, the original CoolStream Bluetooth Receiver and the CoolStream Duo both have a 30-pin connector which will work with the original Bose Sound Dock as well as any other “i” accessory. Both products will get the power they need from the Bose Sound Dock. You just need so make sure it is plugged in. That is of course, unless you have the Portable Bose Sound Dock and then you simply slide the button on the top of CoolStream Duo over to the left and you’ll see the small blue light so you know you’ve got power. The rechargeable battery feature was added to the Duo for just this purpose.
Instructions: How to connect my iPhone 6 to my Bose Sound Dock.
- Place the CoolStream (BTR or Duo) on the dock’s 30 pin connector.
- Go to “settings” on your iPhone 6 and turn on your Bluetooth.
- Click on the word CoolStream when you see it on your phone.
Now you have “paired” your phone with your Bose Sound Dock – so the change of connector is no longer a problem.
- Go to your music on your iPhone 6 and make a selection. The music will now stream through the CoolStream and play on your Bose.
We all love to get new technology and with the Bose Sound Dock coupled with a CoolStream you never have to put it down. Cool, right?
