What could be better than working in your garden on a crisp fall day? Well working while you’re listening to music of course. I remember when the LG Chocolate first came out; endorsed by none other than Christina Aguilera…I had to have it. An MP3 player and a phone??? Now I knew then, they were on to something. Her song, Dirrty, was my gardening lady jam. But sadly, as time wore on, I had to give up on wearing my ear buds because they just kept popping out of my ears. I would stop my jam, and either remove my gloves to wrangle the bud back into my ear or suffer the consequences of stuffing them back into my ear with my gloves on which then meant I also had a lovely mix of loam and compost in my ear and down my neck.
So enter the on-ear Bluetooth headphones. Why are they so great? Why are they the best tool in the garden??
- They’re lightweight, comfortable and wireless for starters. No more dangling wires to get caught on the back of the shovel handle.
- Integrated microphone. Hello, and yes you get to say Hello, because you’ll never miss a call. The music will pause, you can take your call, and just like that you’re back in business.
- No more dirt in my ear. I would say ears, but for some reason the buds would only pop out of my right ear.
So what is your favorite gardening jam? You know you have one; that song that starts the whole thing off just right. I have of course moved on from Christina. I went through a Fergie Phase, because who doesn’t want to be Fergilicious, and so on and so on. What is yours?
