Can I add Bluetooth to my Bose Wave Radio?
YES, you can with a Bose Wave Radio Kit from CoolStream.
Your Bluetooth Kit includes:
RCA to 3.5 mm cables
One CoolStream Duo
One USB to 30-pin iPod charging cable
One USB wall charger
Three easy steps to adding Bluetooth to the Wave Radio.
- Connect the Duo to your Wave Radio using the RCA cable.
2. Keep the Duo ready to stream by plugging the iPod charging cable into the bottom of the Duo and the USB connector into the wall charger. Plug the wall charger into the wall.
When connected to an iPod charging cable, the Duo will be ready to stream anytime you are. CoolStream equips each battery with overcharge protection. Set it and forget it for Bluetooth on-demand with your Bose Wave Radio.
3. Set your Bose Wave Radio to AUX using the button on the top of the radio.

Bose, great sound, and a class act.
For many years Bose has been recommending the CoolStream Duo as the best go-to Bluetooth adapter for their line of SoundDocks. Because the Duo can work with either a 12-volt or a 5-volt dock, it is the perfect fit for the Portable Bose SoundDock, SoundDock I, SoundDock II, and SoundDock 10.
In 2012, when Apple transitioned to the 8-pin lightning connector for the iPhone 5, the 30-pin iPod connector became a legacy connection for many docking stations. While Bose continued to innovate as they always had and continue to do, they never abandoned their original customers. We first found out that Bose recommends the CoolStream Duo for their line of SoundDocks from comments on our website. Bose is a class act supporting their loyal customers and a small business from New Hampshire.
CoolStream strives to produce a quality, dependable product and gives the best advice and customer service possible. We can’t tell you how much we love to hear that Bose has recommended the CoolStream Duo. Thank you, Bose!

CoolStream Duo Quick Start Guide
I am compiling a Playlist on my iPhone, of music to play at my wife’s interment at the US Naval Academy. It plays great through my Bose Revolve SoundLink Bluetooth speaker. I think it might sound even better if played through my Bose Wave Radio?
Will the “The CoolStream kit” pair with my iPhone Music App to act as a speaker system?
Thanks a lot.
Our condolences on your loss. Yes, the CoolStream Kit will allow you to stream any music you have on your iPhone to your Bose Wave Radio. It will also allow you to control the volume and music selection including pause, fast-forward, and rewind. For your playlist to be uninterrupted by notifications, text messages, or phone calls, we would recommend the following: Set your phone to Airplane Mode during the ceremony. This will stop all text messages and phone-call notifications. If you use the ring/silent switch on the side of your phone, you will not hear any notifications, but the music will pause until the call goes to voicemail. This is why Airplane Mode is better. Also, turn on the Do Not Disturb button. It is the one with a crescent moon in your control center (swipe down from the top right corner of your phone for the control center). This will stop all notifications such as news alerts, weather alerts, etc. Lastly, if your playlist is on a streaming app like Spotify be sure to manually turn on Wifi if needed, as Airplane Mode may disable it. You can override this if it happens however in your settings. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Best regards. The CoolStream Team.
I have an old Bose wave radio and cd player. It has an auxiliary port, a headphone port and and boselink input port. I like to use Bose Bluetooth headphone. Is there a transmitter I can use.
CoolStream does not currently make a Bluetooth transmitter.
