The AUX-In port on your stereo is the secret to a Bluetooth Upgrade. CoolStream Duo will modernize your older stereo system to a Bluetooth stereo in minutes. A built-in rechargeable battery and an AUX jack for audio out will have you streaming music from Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, or Amazon music in minutes. Let the Duo transform your older great-sounding stereo into a Bluetooth Enabled great-sounding stereo for $24.99.
Here’s how to do it.
- Check your stereo for an AUX IN port.
- Charge your CoolStream Duo.
- Connect the Duo to your stereo with included 3.5 mm AUX cable.
- Pair the Duo to your phone.
- Set your stereo to the AUX input setting.
- Play music from your phone.
- Tell all your friends.
Here’s how it works.
The 30-pin iPod connector is how the Duo gets power. On a dock, it powers up when the dock is plugged in.
No dock, no problem.
Use any 30-pin iPod charging cable to charge the internal battery to use with AUX-In ports in stereos and cars.
The top of the Duo has an AUX Jack for Audio out to your stereo. The Duo comes equipped with a dual-tipped 3.5 mm AUX cable so you can connect your older stereo to the Duo right out of the box. (An iPod 30-pin charging cable is NOT included with the Duo.)
The 3.5 mm AUX cable that comes with your Duo does NOT provide any power. It is purely for sending your music to your stereo. You need to either charge the Duo’s battery periodically (1-2 hours of charging = 4-5 hours of streaming) or leave the Duo on the charging cable. The Duo is equipped with overcharge protection, so feel free to leave the Duo plugged into a charging cable indefinitely.
Once you have everything plugged in and paired to your phone, don’t forget to choose the AUX setting on your stereo. If your stereo has an AUX port, it will have an AUX setting.
