Halloween music just as spooky as you need.

For Halloween use CoolStream, Props and Spotify

So with a little bit of planning and some time spent on Spotify your Halloween will be absolutely diabolically wicked.  It is so easy to put together the perfect play list for whatever spooky gathering you are getting ready for this year.

My personal favorite is to put a portable speaker on the front porch and load it with weird noises and ghastly howls.  Then as the little ghosts and goblins come walking up to the door they are greeted with yes, the obligatory candy, and also perhaps a treat for the rest of us if we can scare the candy corn out of them.  All in fun, of course.

The greatest addition this year has to be how amazing Spotify has become.  It has quickly risen in the ranks as my favorite app earning a highly coveted spot on the front of my phone.  Yes, right there with calls and texts is the familiar green circle of fun.  They have play lists already made for you if you are in a rush, just type the word Halloween and let it go.  If you have a little more time on your hands then you can poke around and really decide what you are in the mood for and make your own list.

This is really great for all ages.  If you area Mom or Dad putting together a Monster Mash for your eight year old’s 3rd grade party no reason to worry that the songs might take a decidedly creepy turn because you have hand picked each song.  By the same token if you have decided that the neighborhood needs to lighten up a little bit by getting dark and spooky, you can set the perfect tone right out of American Horror Story.  You decide, they literally have it all.

I can't seem to recall a time when there wasn't always music playing in my home. Starting with classical piano lessons from the age of 9 while my Dad blasted Johnny Cash, to my many years enjoying the local Boston music scene I have come to the conclusion that putting more music in your life is always a good thing.
